October 30 - Lunch in Mossleigh
The never-say-die gang hit Mossleigh for lunch -
from left - Brasco, Garry, Hawkeye
and Drifter. Followed by a run through Vulcan, Nanton, Chain Lakes and Longview
with Alex and Bill.
October 16 - Breakfast Meeting
Serious turnout for the October breakfast
meeting - 44 members and guests.
Half a dozen Retreads went for a ride
afterward, checking out the autumn colour.
September 11 - Vintage Swap Meet / Highway 40
The meet up spot looked like Arlen Ness' yard
sale. Thirteen bikes, one PT Cruiser.
Later that same day, six bikes ended up
on an unsuccessful grizzly bear hunt on
Highway 40.
Bill and Garry compare adventure bikes.
August 28 - Cat Creek Cookout, Highway 40
On the road, Highway 40; not a bad day for a ride and a picnic...

July 24 - Lethbridge Air Show
Picking up their souvenirs are Drifter, Hawkeye
and Brasco.
Brasco keeping an eye on the precision flying.
The Snowbirds tied the sky up in knots.
A hot run home under baking sun and cloudless
skies on
Highway 3; SPF60 was the choice for the day.
July 23 - Retreads Head for Fernie

Five Retreads headed for Fernie on the weekend
- Debbie, Bonny, Terri,
Kirsten and Chirp.
July 23 - Retreads Crash Two Events in High River
First event crashed was the Northern Stars
Rally at the Heritage Inn, High River - Hawkeye,
Sailor, Dan, Mustang Sally, PT, Alex and Brenda.
Sage gives Garry some advice on sport touring,
a 1300 FJR. Took hours to get the
smile off Garry's face.
Drifter opted to try out the 1900 Stratoliner
Deluxe. Alex took a sport naked. No sales.
Dan and Sally tried out a 300 mile per hour
scooter....
Guy from CycleMania was on hand pinstriping
bikes, so....
Dan and Sally had him to a little personalizing
on their new
2003 Anniversary Model Harley-Davidson Ultra Glide.
From there, the Retreads crashed the 'Leather
& Chaps for SNAPS' charity event
at the Roadhouse in High River. Clockwise, Garry, PT, Drifter, Brenda and Hawkeye.
The name of the band is the punchline of the
joke "Drink all night and...."
July 21 - Retreads Bike Night
Good weather brought a good turnout for the July
21 Bike Night at Aldersyde.
Lots of interesting bikes. Garry checks out
Sage's cheery red Honda 800 Pacific Coast.
July Meeting - Little New York Days
A full parking lot at Ranchman's can mean only
one thing...
A big turnout for the July Breakfast Meeting. Hawkeye outlines the August riding
opportunities.
From there, some headed for Little New York Days in Longview
One of the bands helds a dance contest and
Hawkeye and PT won both prizes...
Festivities included a car show. Darlene, Chantale and Chirp check out the hardware.

Garry and Brasco.

June 12, Rhonda's Going Away Party and
Thank You
Retreads gathered to say good-bye to Rhonda,
one of the original Foothills Retreads.
The food line-up. Hey, who's the short hairy

As usual, there was plenty of food for
everyone, smokies and hamburgers.
And it turned out to be a beautiful day after
all.
And Cosmo made a fire as only Cosmo can...

Hawkeye thanks Rhonda on behalf of the club,
wishes her luck in the future

June 9, First Aldersyde Bike Night
Four bikes, six members; it's a start...
June 3 - 5 Old Bones, Wayne, Alberta
Flip, Don and Cheeks find some old bones in
Drumheller.
Larry and Barb ran the registration table with
lots of advice...
Lots of camping space
Wade checks out the new Hoof... PT waits her
turn.
Al, Hawkeye and DrifterDon discuss the chance
of rain...
And the rain came - Sonja holds the umbrella
for Charmaine and Jacqueline

The B.C. Guys, Larry and Jim, know how to

The fire burned long into the night ... and
morning.
In the morning, Hawkeye presented Don with his
five year pin.
Meanwhile, back at the Saloon, Cheeks, the
Quiet One and Rusty contemplate lunch.
Ah, lunch... nachos and burgers.
Outside, potential riders wait for potential
riding weather; it never got warm enough.
Flip had some trouble figuring out where the
knock came from in his engine.
Meanwhile, outside the Saloon, riders still
wait for warmer riding weather.
Sonja and PT practice their bolo throwing
skills for the after-dinner games.

Some games just defy destription.
Meanwhile, back at the Saloon, 20 women in
togas arrived on a party bus.
And after that the evening got weird.
And that pretty much wrapped up Old Bones 2011.
May 29 Vulcan to Nanton to Chain Lakes
Some Vulcans (and some Hondas) stop over in
Vulcan, Alberta -- Dan, Garry, Brasco, Birdo, Mustang Sally and DrifterDon

April 17 Breakfast Meeting
28 members and prospective members showed up in
the snow for the April breakfast
meeting. Several either have left or are leaving for Arizona/Nevada/Laughlin.

Huge turnout for the March 20 Breakfast meeting; 47 people anxious to get riding.

Chapter Rep Hawkeye outlined some of the early
riding season events including
Old Bones, Las Vegas and the Retreads River Rats run to Laughlin.

Sandi and Howard were honoured for their
contribution to the club
Jill received a trophy for her support of
the group
DrifterDon was surprised to receive a
trophy for his support
of the club (but not for his fashion sense.)
Most importantly, Cosmo, left, and Dave
were honoured for their
founding of the club and being the driving forces behind it for the
first almost-a-decade.
