July 16 - First Inagural Okotoks (more or less) Bike Night

Retreads attending the inaugural Okotoks Bike Night included Brent, Birdo,
Crazy Al, Jim and DrifterDon.

In total 11 bikes showed up for the first Okotoks Bike Night, although most didn't know
they were participating.

July 12 - Highway 40 Run

April 19 - April Breakfast Meeting & Ride

"Is this where the Retreads Breakfast is?"

Cosmo chaired the meeting (46 members and guests) and introduced the special guest, Kim from Custom Protect Eat, who makes custom-fit earplugs and MP3 player earbuds.

While Kim injects the moulding silicon into Brad, Cosmo tries to keep it from leaking out the other side.

...not entirely successfully.

When these are done, Doug will be able to hear the music, but not the Melody.

After the meeting, Larry led a group on a tour of new subdivisions,
ending up at Bragg Creek where about 250 bikes glinted in the sun.

March 15 - March Breakfast Meeting

Birdo got the Red Menace out of mothballs, the
only member to ride to the meeting.

Turnout was off the scale. Sixty people showed up.

Attraction was  a new line of motorcycle jackets and vests with
built-in airbags that inflate if the rider is rudely separated from the bike.

Bonny models the fully-inflated vest.

February 15 - February Breakfast Meeting

Monster turnout for the February meeting - 46 members and potential members.

2009 edition of the Laughlin River Rats plan their April invasion of Arizona and Nevada.

January 25 - Red Deer Custom Bike Show

January 18 - Monthly Club Breakfast meeting

Huge turnout for the meeting, more than 32 members, THREE of whom rode to the meeting.

Wolfman was the first to arrive on his Harley, snow banks no
obstacle.

Patches and Penny arrived on the Yamaha,
braving snow and icey patches.

January 11 - Calgary Motorcycle Show


"Eleven grand for what?" SweetCheeks wonders.

Patches checks out 'three to go' Triumphs's 2400cc triple. Birdo approves.

Brasco checks out the price tag on a ... a... what the hell is that?

DrifterDon checks out the latest untippable Geezer Glide.

January 11 - Retreads 'After Christmas' Party

First the venue was decorated in traditional Retreads colours.

Vilnis was honoured for his contribution to the club

Debbie was named Rider of the Year, 12,000
kms on a brand new driver's licence. Trophy
was a sequined helmet, non-DOT.

Hawkeye and PT got an award for club support.

The Ax Murderers demonstrate their unique balloon
busting technique.

Nobel and Doris were named "Phantom Bikers", one ride last year (and it rained.)

Scotty got a 'broken bone' patch for his off road riding experience.
He was also awarded a new set of eyebrows.
